With fall fully in the air and pumpkins everywhere, we enjoyed a classic October including a visit to a pumpkin patch, school Halloween parties and old fashioned trick-or-treating. Yay for Halloween! We had a tween zombie (Elijah), a spunky ballerina kitten (Makayla) and Mommy's little monkey (Owen). And of course I had to pose Owen in his monkey costume and in a monster bib and slippers since I loved both outfits so much! :)
The Friday before Halloween was filled with school parties, a costume parade at the elementary school, and an evening Trunk-or-Treat event (since one night of candy is never enough!) Baby monkey, Owen, was a huge hit with all of the kids and Makayla's outfit was picture perfect with face paint and a matching bag.
On Halloween Saturday, the kids were eagerly awaiting 4pm so they could run out and begin begging for candy. Our Chicago suburban town celebrates trick-or-treating on the 31st between the hours of 4-7pm and the kids spent all 3 hours in and out of the house, answering the door, and running through the drizzling rain to visit all of the houses on the block with their friends.
I am a nurse and I work night shift at the local hospital (7pm-7am). I have to give a big THANK YOU and kudos to Cameron who was the overseer of it all while I worked both Friday and Saturday nights! #besthusbandever
